Today, Brecknock held it’s very own election. Children from year 4 delivered speeches for each of the five main parties. We had the Liberal Democrats, Green Party, UKIP, Conservatives and Labour. Their speeches focused on four major issues which were the NHS, voting age, immigration and of course, education. Each child from year 3 to 6 put a cross on their ballot paper. After lunch, the results were in and Labour won by an enormous majority of 144 votes! The Green Party came next with 21 votes. It was wonderful to see just how knowledgeable and interested our children are in such important issues.
