Last week from the fifth to the tenth of June, Brecknock primary school got involved in the spectacular work week! What do you want to be when you grow up? Well this week in year 5 we were challenged by that question. We became designers! There were many groups with all different company names, for example: dream catchers, fashion passion, buba bosh, beauty world and many more. We did an auction with the budget of six pounds, to get our materials.
Fashion passion was one of the companies. I was part of this fabulous company. We made our clothes from scratch but it gets even better. Our clothes are 100% ethical! Ethical means clothes that do not hurt or damage our environment. All I can say is that year 5, Jamaica and Cuba, have been working their socks off – designing, perfecting creations, fitting and modeling the clothes.
But wait there’s more we had our own fashion show! People from architects to fashion book editors came in … to see our designs! When fashion passion was called up a weird sorta feeling tingled and a sprinkle of fizzy hope rushed through my body, it felt strange but I was ready. I went up there and talked out loud to everyone about our design, then the models strutted their stuff on the catwalk with faces of joy.
I hope you all enjoyed work week, give your parents a round of applause for going to work nonstop for you.
Bye everyone
Sharnelle
