We used Jean Michel Basquiat as our inspiration and created symbols, words, images and figures that meant something to everyone in our class and expressed what freedom meant to each member of our class!
Everyone included their ideas and contributed in the drawing, painting and creation of our piece. Jean Michel Basquiat felt that the art of children showed freedom of expression and that his art expressed his thoughts and ideas on life rather than trying to paint perfectly. So in this vein, Jamaica had some messy expressive fun!
