The day is here, really here. As I boarded the Peggy Sue, the first place I went was the kitchen. I was starving, luckily for me mum was cooking pasta. After my meal, I staggered to the cabin to sleep. I woke up to the unpleasant roar of the violent sea. I checked my watch. It was 2a.m. I could smell the salty sea and adventure, this was the beginning of a very exciting day. I could smell the freedom.
Whilst I was day dreaming, I noticed animals circling us; the pod of dolphins danced around. Glancing up at the crystal blue sky. I felt I was the only person alive in the world. There was just us. There was just us and the sea. There was just us and the mystifying sea. There was just us and the mystifying sea and the stars. There was just us and the mystifying sea and the foreboding stars. I, who was excited about exploring a new world, thought about what challenges would lie ahead.
Seconds formed to minutes minutes forged to hours hours tweaked to days days blended to weeks. I thought I wouldn’t even be back for Christmas – could I live here? I in my hammock, I could hear the was crashing, the radio bleeping, Arsenal cheering. As I climbed out off my hammock I heard … the crashing thunder.
It was a boring, dark, gloomy night: no stars, no moon, just the endless ceiling of space above. Crash! a giant ball of lighting accelerated towards the mast. Boom! a colossal wave hovered above over all the noise, I heard Stella. I looked but she wasn’t wearing her harness. The wave was here now; it crashed over us, sending us flying off the boat. Somehow mum and dad were still asleep. I looked around for anything to help us float, another wave sent us under. I saw a jelly fish and sharks circling me, waiting for me to drown. I swam up, fighting the current with Stella in my arms. I threw Stella up leaving me with free hands.
Zap! a ball of thunder hit our ship, I put mum’s swimming lessons to use, and floated above the surface when I saw a wave take Stella Artois away from me. But she was too far, I couldn’t reach her. She would have to die. I heard her innocent voice yelp as she sunk under to the sharks waiting her arrival…
