The Nursery and families had a fun filled, awe inspiring, question filled and action packed afternoon at Gillespie Park one afternoon in May.
We were super eye spying ‘twitchers’ (bird watchers) on our way through the park, hoping to find robins, squirrels, bees and other birds. We looked high and low, but it wasn’t until we got to the pond that the nature detectives in us were able to spot real minibeasts. We were amazed to find small frogs and tadpoles, newts and pond skaters.
We can’t wait to get back to school and look in our very own pond to see what we recognise!
