This week we have loved reading the wintery story Stick Man by Julia Donaldson. We enjoyed exploring the pictures and used our fantastic phonics skills to sound out and write words to describe what we could see. We also loved watching the Year Two winter show of Stick Man.

We have been working hard in maths to order sticks by length. After hunting for sticks at school, and even at home with our families, we used our growing maths vocabulary to say if the sticks were long, longer, short or shorter.  We even used some of our sticks to build our own model stick people!
