Governors

The school governors are members of the Governing Body of the Brecknock and Torriano Schools Federation.

They have responsibility for raising school standards through their three core strategic functions of:

a. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
b. Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils; and
c. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent

Governor Diversity Data

In common with other Camden schools, we collect diversity data on an annual basis for members of our Governing Body. This helps us understand the voices and perspectives brought to Governing Body meetings and how we represent the communities we serve.

Given, however, the low number of individuals from whom data is collected, we are unable to publish the outcomes on the schools’ websites in order to maintain anonymity and compliance with data protection regulations.  We do, however, discuss the outcomes at Governing Body meetings.

All minutes of governing body meetings are available on request.

My name is Richard Harrison and I am a Community Governor. I have been a governor at Brecknock since February 2014. I became a governor because I wanted to support Brecknock to become even more fantastic than it already is, and to help it build stronger links with secondary schools.

Sabrina’s family inspired her to work with children as many members of her family work in the education system. She has always admired them for the work they have done and the impact that it has had on others. Being with her friends and family makes her smile and if she knew today was her last day on Earth, she would spend it with her brother and sister watching ‘Toy Story’. Sabrina would teleport if she had a super power and would use it to get free travel and visit Bora Bora. If she could only take on book with her to a desert island it would be ‘Charlotte’s Web’ by E.B White. ‘Hakuna Matata’ is the most useful piece of advice she has ever received, Sabrina is clearly a fan of animation films! The most fun thing she has ever learnt to do is a ride a bike.
