Year 2 returned from the farm with some produce they harvested themselves, including many bags of apples.

One afternoon, the children got to don their chef hats once again, and prepare a classic dessert of apple crumble.

They followed instructions and used their maths skills to weigh out the correct amount of flour, butter and sugar for the topping. Getting messy, rubbing the ingredients together was fun, and each child took their own individual crumble home. (Although after speaking to the children the next day, they weren’t around for long!)
