Debate Day – Year 4

Today was Brecknock Debate Day. Our motion was ‘This house believes that chocolate should be displayed at child height in shops.’ It was a lively debate with good arguments presented by both sides, and lots of chocolate being used to tempt the audience. Both teams used humour and expression very well. The audience had lots of questions for both teams and the speakers never lost their cool and answered very well. In the end the vote was very tight. The motion was narrowly carried by the proposition with the audience deciding that they felt chocolate should be at child height. Well done to everyone who took part and the audience for listening so attentively.
