Reception have just started a new topic Up, Up and Away. They are learning about all the kinds of things which float in the air. This week they have designed and created their own kites using a variety of materials such as plastic, paper and cardboard. Then one afternoon they went up on to the roof to fly their kites and participate in kite races to see which kite flew the highest and the furthest. After many races they discovered that the winning kite was made out of tissue paper and had a long string. Here are some photos from the afternoon.
