Year 2 went on a trip to the Monument of London and St Pauls Cathedral s as part of our topic on The Great fire of London. The children climbed up the 311 steps of the monument and experienced panoramic views of London. After a stroll along the Thames we headed to St Paul’s Cathedral where we impressed our tour guide with our facts and knowledge about both the old and new cathedral. We even got to dress up as key historical figures, Samuel Pepys, Sir Christopher Wren, Thomas Farriner and his maid to re-enact the events of 1666.
