This week we have been working with money!

We worked in groups of three to remind ourselves of the coins we use and how much they are worth. We did this by matching the coins to number cards and Numicon pieces.

We investigated how many of one coin we needed to make a larger coin, e.g. how many 2ps make 10p.

After that, we started thinking about how we could pay for things that cost a lot of money. Carrying a hundred one pound coins would be very heavy! Instead we can use notes to pay.
