Today a midwife came to visit us in the Nursery.  She explained to us that her job is to look after Mummies who are having babies.  We discussed all the healthy foods that Mummies should eat to ensure their baby is well.  She then showed us the different equipment she uses to check on the baby inside the Mummy’s tummy.  We checked our heartbeats with a stethoscope, listened to our tummies gurgling with her ‘sonic aid’ and used a blood pressure pump.  She also showed us how to measure the Mummy’s tummy to find out how many weeks pregnant she is, magic!

The midwife spent some time with us in our baby clinic as we pretended to be expectant mothers!
