and do the five finger jive!

Hold one finger up, like a big tall tree,

now fold it down, how many fingers do you see?

ZERO!

1-1 is zero!

Hold 2 fingers up, like the letter v,

now fold one down

how fingers do you see?

1!

2-1=1

2-2=0!

Hold 3 fingers up, and wiggle them around,

now fold one down,

how many have you found?

2!

3-2=1

3-1=2

3=3=0

Hold 4 fingers up, and wave them in the air

fold one finger down,

how many are there?

3!

4-1=3

4-2=2

4-3=1

4-4=0

Hold 5 fingers up, and wave them at the train

fold over your thumb

how many remain?

4!

5-1=4

5-2=3

5-3=2

5-4=1

5-5=0!

Give me a high five, and take nothing away

how many fingers are left?
