Use exciting adjectives: tranquil, silent, green, towering, equisite, dangerous, creeping, rushing, flowing; nouns: canopy, treetops, immergent layer, creatures, animals, beasts, plants, reeds, rushes river, stream; verbs: tripping, stumbling, calling, crowing, sneaking, falling; adverbs: quickly, silently, eventually, evidently, dangerously, sourly, cruelly, carefully, slowly, powerfully (these are just examples, you will use many more of your own)
I checked my backpack, I had the essentials: water, a snare, a sleeping bag, rope and a knife. My journey could begin. I stumbled onwards, following the path trodden down by many feet before me. This was not the route I wanted to take: I wanted to find the hidden treasures of the forest so I ducked under a low hanging branch to my right and began to delve deeper and deeper into the darkening depths of the tall trees. Splinters of sunlight seeped through the canopy warming the petals of exotic flowers I was not yet able to identify.
Above is an example. You are expected to write twice as much. Use the pictures to help you visualise the rainforest.
