There were a few sleepy eyes this morning when we woke at 6.30, ready for an action-packed day in France! Fuelled on another delicious breakfast (many croissants were consumed!), we set off towards the centre of Paris, chanting songs and dominating every quiz the PGL staff threw at us, from local landmarks to song lyrics : “I’ve never seen such quick answers; these questions were meant to last all week!”
After we had arrived in Paris, we enjoyed a trip down the river Seine in the beautiful sun. This was followed by a walk up the Eiffel Tower. We made it to the second floor, where we had panoramic views of the whole of Paris, which were simply breath-taking! Following our descent, we tucked into some home-made sandwiches on the grass beside it.
There was no rest when we returned back to Chateaux de Grande Romaine. Immediately, we were off to the climbing wall, followed by the zip wire (which was alarmingly high up!) and then archery. Everybody was brilliant, getting involved and encouraging each other and truly showing the Brecknock spirit.
As I write, I can hear the music blasting from the disco, where many interesting shapes and moves are being displayed. Tomorrow promises another busy day: Disney Land!
