Mersea children had fun going on a trip to the supermarket to buy the ingredients to make biscuits, they each had a coin so they could purchase the items we needed. When getting the ingredients ready we talked about how weighing scales worked to show you how heavy something is. Some children liked getting their hands messy cracking eggs and mixing the butter with the flour, but they all enjoyed eating them at snack time.
