Our new topic this term is ‘Let’s Pretend’!

We are exploring a variety of traditional tales using puppets.

Last week we begun to learn the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’. We were very excited to have a puppet theatre perform an alternative version of the story, ‘The Lucky Gingerbread Man.’ Back in the classroom, the children made their own Gingerbread Man shadow puppets using paper, lolly sticks and split pins.  This helped to bring the character to life and they loved role-playing the story with their friends and their new puppets.

You can help your child by sharing some wonderful traditional stories such as Goldilocks, Three Billy Goats Gruff, or Jack and the Beanstalk.
