Despite the fact we are enjoying Spring blossom in London, this week our Reception classes have been learning about Arctic animals.

We have been reading a story about two polar bears called  Iris and Isaac who fall out then after some thought, resolve their differences.

The children were interested to learn that polar bears live in the Arctic Circle. We looked at some film clips of the Northern Lights and of people in Lapland working with dog sleds

We enjoyed making stories with a small world Arctic scene and made some information books about polar bears.
