To end their Circus IPC topic, Year 2 have been busy making masks! They used a material called mod-roc, (short for modelling rock), to build on top of a plastic mask. The mod roc was cut into strips, and the children had to soak each piece in water before applying it to their mask. Next they had to rub the surface to create a smooth texture. Once the masks had dried, the children had a go at mixing their own palettes, before paining and decorating their masks. The final outcomes were fantastic, and the children really enjoyed working with the mod roc.
