Today in Mull we went on a walk around Clocktower Park for our Science lesson. Having just began our new topic of Animals (specifically birds for the moment) we decided to go and investigate our local area.
We walked down to Clocktower Park in the sunshine and saw some amazing things! We saw Magpies, Wood pigeons, Robins and even one Blackbird. We even got the chance to feed the birds!
It was interesting seeing how our community takes care of birds with bird feeders in the park also.
We made some close observations and someone even remarked ”That is not a woodpigeon, it is a normal pigeon because there are no green feathers at the back of it’s neck!’.
Our animal studies are well and truly under way and we returned to school excited and ready for further investigation!
