This week in Cuba we have been discussing how to set and achieve manageable goals in order to reach longer term dreams. We learnt about what a comfort zone , a learning zone and a panic zone is.
How is it that we are able to learn new things which can often seem impossible? With perseverance, determination, resilience and a helping hand!
After each setting a personal goal outside of our comfort zone, I set my very own challenge to Cuba: To learn to skip or to achieve a double under (where the rope goes under your feet twice in one jump!). We only had 10 minutes and inside I felt the pressure of having to teach this … 10 minutes later Vera, Jake, Khadija, Sharnelle and Jaime had learnt some new tricks!
Well done to everyone in Cuba – you should all be beaming with pride, each and everyone of you have stepped out of your comfort zone this half term and in return have learnt something new.
