Over the past few weeks we have been learning about the Olympic games held in Ancient Greece.
Did you know…

· The Olympics were first named after Mount Olympus.

· The first Olympic Games were held in 776BCE.

· The Olympic Games were originally held as a festival for Father Zeus.

As a year group, we hosted our very own Olympics. We each signed up for different sports, including wrestling, javelin, discus throwing, sprinting, relay race and long jump. We had judges making notes and recording the scores, whilst the crowd cheered on the Olympians.
