Inspired by the daring journey of the Princess in our book The Princess and the White Bear King, Year 2 embarked on their own quest to find the missing golden crown.

After tracking it down, we wrote about our journey in the style of the book, making sure to use adverbs and interesting verbs:

Here’s a recount of the adventure taken from the writing of Shaqee, Alicia and Ifaz, the first ones to find the crown:

Our journey began as we crept sneakily through the metal gate. Cautiously, we tip-toed around the dead, dark pond.

Suddenly, the Lonely Beast appeared! The Beast told us: “the crown is high up!”

As we ascended the treacherous mountain, we wanted to take a break in the lake, but it was frozen. So we skated across the icy lake dangerously.

Finally, we reached the windy plateau and there was the magnificent crown!
