‘Turning the Page’ is a workshop for parents of children in Reception and Year 1 . (You are welcome to drop in when you can or come every week). Its an exciting new project for families that provides easy, practical ideas and fun creative activities to help children enjoy reading. It is run by Clio Whittaker and Marie-Ange King who are both experienced teachers.
From September we will be at Brecknock School every Tuesday running different activities throughout the day. In the mornings (9-10.30am) we will run classes for parents, in the afternoon we will offer individual advice to parents and after school we will run workshops for the whole family (3.30-5pm). The sessions are supportive and fun to take part in, and we will give you lots of esources and free books to take home and keep.
If you would like to find out more about Turning the Page, please come along to meet Clio and Marie-Ange on Tuesday 12th July at 3.30pm in the Dining Hall for another taster session. Children are invited to join us after school to do a creative activity and to choose a free book to take home and keep.
