Well done Year 6 – amazing SATs results…again!
Over the last few years children, staff and parents at Brecknock have been working incredibly hard and each year our end of Key Stage 2 SATs have gone from strength to strength. We are so proud of everyone’s hard work and the SATs that our Year 6 children sat in May have continued this trend, despite the fact that this was the first year of the new, much harder, national tests. We are very proud of our year 6 children who have achieved fantastic results and are leaving Brecknock ready for the challenges ahead in secondary school.
- 64% of our children achieved the expected level in combined reading, writing and maths (compared with 53% nationally)
- 74% of our children achieved the expected level in Spelling & Grammar, (compared with 71% nationally).
- 82% of our children achieved the expected level in Maths (compared with 70% nationally)
- 74% of our children achieved the expected level in Reading (compared with 66% nationally)
- 79% of our children achieved the expected level in Writing (compared with 74% nationally).
We would like to congratulate all the children and their families as well as acknowledge every teacher and member of staff who has played their part in this success.
