The Year 1 classes had a fantastic time at the CLC!

First we discussed what things we would find inside a robot, and what robots need to be able to do the things they do.

Of course, a robot is nothing without a human to programme it! So we turned a class member into a robot, and were challenged to give them instructions – not as easy as it sounds! We learned about how careful and exact our instructions needed to be, and then put this into practice with the BlueBots.

After lunch, Skye class explored how to use iPads as remote controls for the BlueBots, and Mull created their own lively scenes with moving vehicles in them, in preparation for our new topic this term – Transport from A to B.
